Wage Theft

Every year, working people in the United States have billions of dollars stolen from them by dishonest employers. If your employer makes you work off the clock, steals your tips, prevents you from taking proper meal and rest breaks, or does not pay overtime, then your employer is stealing from you just as surely as if you were mugged on the street.

Being cheated out of your wages means more stress and fewer resources for you and your family.  It is no surprise that medical studies have shown that there is a link between wage theft and life expectancy.

It is my privilege to get my clients paid back for unpaid wages, and then some. The law provides harsh penalties for wage theft. In many cases, your employer will have to pay you double your wages, plus interest, plus penalties. In addition, your employer most likely has to pay some or all of your attorney fees and litigation costs.

It is illegal for an employer to retaliate against you for making a complaint about unlawful pay practices. If your employer does retaliate, you can sue them for that too.

If you feel your employer has been unfair with you, please fill out my employment intake form. The results come directly to me and help me see what laws have been broken, and what rights you may have.

There is no cost to you to consult with me about your case. When I take a matter on, I do not charge you out of pocket. When we win a case, I am paid a portion out of the winnings, and your employer has to contribute to cover my attorney fees. I will never charge you any fee that requires you to pay me out of your own pocket.
